Abstract
A switch controlled fourth-order dual-band bandpass delta-sigma modulator (BPDSM) is proposed. It consists of two stage second-order resonator, high-speed comparator, multifeedback current digital-to-analog converter, and clock distributer. The band selection is controlled by capacitor bank, and fine frequency tuning is done by varactor. The implemented BPDSM shows a peak signal-to-noise-ratio is 41.6 dB, 42.5 dB, an error vector magnitude is 3.06%, 2.4% in 882 MHz, 955 MHz, respectively, and a differential output voltage swing is 1.32Vp-p with dc power consumption of 389 mW. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
