Abstract
Translator relays received signal through different channel from receiving channel. In case that translators use same transmitting channel, frequency difference among relayed signals has a serious influence on the performance of DTV receivers in the overlapped area. Thus the frequency difference must be minimized. Usually GPS reference clock is used for frequency synchronization among translators. However, frequency difference can be increased according to the quality of phase noise, the status of satellites and so on. In this paper, a simple method for frequency synchronization among translators without GPS receiver is proposed.
