- Abstract
- This paper describes the development of a wearable heart rate monitoring device for elderly people as a form of a wrist watch, which is able not only to measure PPG signal on the finger tip of a hand but also to cancelling movement artifact caused by probe-coupling effects, such as twisting or wrenching a wrist for elderly care. To develop the wearable device, we considered important conditions: wireless communication, noise adaptive cancelling techniques about probe-coupling effects on a wrist to measure pulse component of digital artery and we presented experiment results about motion artifact cancelling effects of subjects
