Abstract
With successes in virtualization technology, desktop virtualization is paid a lot attention in recent years. However, there are several obstacles that prevent widespread adoptions of virtualized desktop, and incompatibility with legacy peripheral devices is one of primary defect. Thus, this paper suggests a framework to provide on-demand computing system based on desktop virtualization technology. To provide dynamic configurations of computing environment, peripheral devices are virtualized and managed by the framework. Virtual frame buffer and virtual USB driver handles virtualizations of peripheral devices, and resource management modules provides GUI interface for on-demand configurations of these resources. Suggested framework extends flexibilities in computing environment and minimizes dormant computing resources.
