Abstract
This paper describes the development of a wearable Photoplethymography (PPG) monitoring device as a form of a wrist watch, which is able not only to measure PPG signal on the outside region of a wrist but also to cancelling movement artifact caused by probe-coupling effects, such as twisting or wrenching a wrist. To develop the wearable device, we chose necessary conditions: wireless communication, noise adaptive cancelling techniques about probe-coupling effects, the measurement of the PPG on a side region of a wrist including a radial artery instead of a finger, and We present that why we use a FSR sensor to remove movement artifacts through various experiments.
