Abstract
An intelligent wireless sensor network is tested and its performance is analyzed. The wireless sensor network is used for the purpose of surveillance systems. The proposed wireless mesh functions are implemented in the intelligent wireless sensor node. The proposed sensor node for the surveillance system has many unique features such as multi-sensor detection, data handover and wireless mesh network technology. In the proposed wireless mesh network technology, multiple gateways are employed to improve QoS. Indoor test results showed the usage of multiple gateways is necessary to satisfy QoS for the real time video streaming service and its applications.
