Abstract
The methodology and procedures of compliance testing for wrist-worn devises such as smart-watch are define international standards [1]. In the current of the standards and regulation, the user’s wrist is not included for obtaining conservative specific absorption rate (SAR) value. In this paper, we investigate the effect of wrist model during the SAR evaluation on smart-watch with a planar inverted F antenna (PIFA). The results show that the SARs in flat phantom are increased by more than 15 % by the wrist model.
