Abstract
Self-Xhaul is the integration of access and Xhaul with the same radio technology. In inband self-Xhaul networks, the frequency-time resources are shared between access links and Xhaul links, and thus resource partitioning is necessary. In this paper, a novel resource partitioning scheme is proposed for self-Xhaul networks in which self-Xhaul nodes are connected in tandem. The proposed scheme provides the optimized ratio of the resource partitioning, which ensures maximization of the path throughput of the user terminal that has the worst path throughput in the network. Simulation results show excellent agreement between the ratio found by the proposed scheme and the ratio at which the path throughput of a user terminal with the lowest path throughput in the network is maximized.
