Abstract
Korean proper names using roman notation can be matched with some English pronunciation according to the characteristics of English. In this paper, we propose a knowledge-based pronunciation rule that converts Korean G2P (Grapheme-to-Phoneme) into English phone. In this method, Korean proper nouns are recognized using English Language Model (LM), vocabulary dictionary, and Acoustic Model (AM) based on DNN (Deep Neural Network). As a result, the proposed method showed 97.51%, which is higher than 93.92% of baseline.
