Abstract
Recently interest for IoT technology has been increasing, and devices using various heterogeneous networks such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are rapidly spreading. And the usage of IoT gateways is increasing. IoT gateways can be used to get information from environmental sensor devices and to control lamps, air conditioner, and other IoT devices. In this paper, we developed an emotional ambient control system using IoT (Internet of Things) gateway. The system gathers ambient information of the user from IoT devices and analyze the emotional situation of the user. Then the systems controls connected IoT devices, such as LED lamps, humidifier, air conditioner, audio, curtain, etc. according to the user’s estimated emotion. The system can be easily extended by modifying the table describing emotions and control tasks.
