Abstract
In this era of the 4th industrial evolution, the technology of cloud computing became new normal. Recently, the various users steadily request a novelty server that has low-power, high-density, and scale-out computing characteristic. A Microserver system is introduced as a novel approach towards to the future cloud server system, which can meet above-mentioned requirements. Therefore, in order to utilize highly integrated computing resources in the microserver system, high-speed and reliable system fabric interconnection among the computing node is highly demanded. In this paper, we selected a Serial RapidIO for the high-speed and reliable system fabric interconnection and implemented interconnection module for the microserver system. Furthermore, we also address the file transfer protocol (FTP)-based performance evaluation result between the SRIO-based network and the Ethernet-based network.
