Abstract
A tangram is geometrical puzzle consisting of a square cut into seven convex polygons which can be arranged to make various other shapes. To build a augmented reality application for a real-world tangram, it is critical to detect and precisely estimate the poses of all the seven pieces of a tangram puzzle. Especially, poses including translation and rotation are important to measure a user's performance and to generate a appropriate guide information in augmented reality application. In this paper, we propose a solution for this problem with detailed exemplars required in Mathematica implementation. We also report the experimental results on real examples.
