Abstract
Table-top electronic holographic display which can provide stereoscopic hologram images along 360 degree is proposed. We extend the limited size of the observable area in the conventional holographic projection system into circumferential viewing windows which can cover 360 degree on a horizontal plane by adopting a time-division multiplexing technique. An additional feature of floating effect is added by the pair of parabolic mirror to provide a tangible experience on the displayed 3D hologram images. Along the 360 degree viewing windows, different perspective 3D images are displayed by the principle of electronic holography to provide stereoscopic hologram images. The experimental results confirm that the proposed system is capable of displaying stereoscopic hologram images along 360 degree.
