Abstract
The a-Si:H transparent solar cells were fabricated as solar windows. The asymmetric multi-layered transparent (AMT) electrodes were applied as transparent electrodes in the solar cells and they can provide the functions of infrared blocking for thermal insulation and of effective bifacial power generation. Varying the conditions of transparent electrodes and the thickness of intrinsic layer, we obtained improved cell efficiency of bifacial power generation using LED light with backside illumination. And employment of AMT electrodes on both sides lower the average transmittance of near IR region as 4.4 %, which would be beneficial to equip thermal insulation properties.
