Abstract
In this paper, we analyze the 3d-warping based virtual view synthesis technique for omnidirectional images in ERP format, and present experiment results of rendering virtual view synthesized from omnidirectional stereo CG images. We confirm that an omnidirectional virtual view image can be synthesized by the following procedures: obtaining depth of 360 view scene from circular-projection-based relation between disparity and depth, and rendering new omnidirectional view of virtual position by mapping spherical coordinate points to ERP image.
