Abstract
The OAM(orbital angular momentum) on microwave carrier frequencies makes radio spectra efficient. For several years microwave antennas of the OAM modes have been presented for transferring and multiplexing modes. In Laguerre Gaussian mode, where the general solution of paraxial approximation of transferring OAM emerges, however, OAMs have a divergence issue, thus making further application of OAMs challenging. We present simulated results to focus OAMs with the deformed helicoid wave-front. It produces higher order Bessel modes with orbital angular momentum, creating the focused OAM modes. The concept give benefit to future applications for the wireless backhaul and vehicular communication.
