Abstract
This paper presents a methodology for analyzing spectral efficiency based on dataset measured from real-field. The measurement dataset consists of downlink control information and reference signal received power of Long-Term Evolution signal which is transmitted by live base station. This paper also introduces a way of collecting data and providing analysis results of a selected cell through statistical investigation. These statistical data and measurements allow realistic predictions of network efficiency because they reflect current cell characteristics. The spectral efficiency is analyzed to be 1.72 for an example cell and expected to improve to 2.22 on average depending on the conditions.
