Abstract
This paper proposes non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) schemes to fulfil the 5G requirements of high spectral efficiency and massive connectivity. The proposed NOMA schemes utilize UE signatures in code domain and frequency domain. In particular, we adopt hybrid spreading schemes to uplink NOMA as efficient UE signatures in frequency domain based on orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) waveform. Link-level simulation results show that the proposed NOMA schemes with successive interference cancelation (SIC) receiver improves overloading performance resulting in high spectral efficiency.
