Abstract
This paper represents a dynamic sensitivity control technique to improve spectral efficiency in wireless local area network. The proposed technique can be used when traffic is highly imbalanced, in other words, downlink or uplink traffic is dominant. We performed a simulation to evaluate the proposed technique and the simulation results shows 20.6% loss at a single worst case but it shows 98.6% gain at optimal case. Overall gain is 31.3% and it shows the usefulness of the traffic imbalance information in the dynamic sensitivity control in WLAN.
