Abstract
In digital holographic display systems, lasers are widely adopted as light sources in retrieving holograms. In addition, random phase profile is applied in calculating computer generated holograms, which causes granular patterns, i.e. speckles, composed of dark and bright spots so that it affects the image quality of reconstructed holograms. In this paper, we propose a method to measure and estimate speckle patterns in our recently-developed 360-degree tabletop holographic display systems.
