초록
We have developed a 25 Gbps electroabsorption modulated (EAM) distributed feedback laser diode (DFB LD) operating in the C-band for 5G digital fronthaul optical networks. The structural parameters such as the epitaxial layer of the EAM and grating structure of the integrated DFB LD have been optimized carefully. The proposed diode exhibits a large extinction ratio, exceeding 10 dB, and high modulation speed of 32 Gbps, for a 200 μm long EAM.
