Abstract
In this paper, we present a franchise brands recognition system based on convolutional neural network. In order to identify best practice of the system, a new benchmark dataset for franchise brands recognition is constructed, and we design a set of experiments to evaluate and compare a classifier and three different types of detectors (i.e. sign, logo and store detector for franchise stores) for this task. Based on the experimental results, we develop a mobile application, which recognizes a franchise brand by running sign detector and provides discount coupons and promotions of the brand.
