Abstract
In this paper, we have investigated the relationship between the coupling coefficient ratio and the wave impedance of the transmitting and receiving coils, which are important in WPT (wireless power transmission technology). As the transmission distance increases with the diameter, the wave impedance presents the similar characteristics similar of the coupling coefficient ratio and converges to a specific value. Therefore, in order to obtain the coupling coefficient ratio, the wave impedance could be an alternative parameters instead of the complicated calculation.
