Abstract
Data over cable service interface specification 3.1 (DOCSIS 3.1) is released to provide multi-gigabit data service in hybrid fiber coaxial (HFC) networks. To support the data rate of DOCSIS 3.1 uplink, the low density parity check (LDPC) decoding processing speed is required as corresponding to the data rate. We implement the LDPC encoder and decoder based on the DOCSIS 3.1 uplink and verify them by the laboratory test. The results of the laboratory test show that the implemented LDPC encoder and decoder conforms to the DOCSIS 3.1 uplink.
