Abstract
Millimeter wave massive multiple input and multiple output (MIMO) system is the core technologies for the next generation wireless communications. However, the increasing cellular Internet of Things can cause the huge data traffic and the interference in wireless networks, which can degrade the system performance. To cover dense user equipment, the dense small cell technology is being discussed. This paper investigates new radio based millimeter-wave massive MIMO in dense small cells. For the hybrid beamforming, two radio frequency beamforming codebooks are studied. The system performance is evaluated by the spectral efficiency analysis.
