Abstract
In wireless communications, orthogonal waveforms having short duration are desirable to achieve low system latency. In addition, immunity to interferences from other user signals is one of desirable features for the waveforms especially in massive uplink access. In this paper, we derive sufficient constraints for orthogonal and short duration waveforms. Under the constraints, we propose signal waveforms suitable for quasi-synchronized communication systems by using gradient-decent algorithm in minimizing average power of interference from other users. Numerical results show that signal-to-interference power ratio can be enhanced by using the proposed waveforms.
