Abstract
We present comparison between diffraction efficiencies of polarization holographic gratings recorded in nondoped azopolymer and in a hybrid organic/inorganic thin layers of azopolymer with incorporated TiO 2 nanoparticles of size of 21 nm with different concentrations. The gratings are inscribed by two plain waves with left and right circular polarization from a He-Cd gas laser (442 nm) at recording angle 20°. Our experimental results indicate that highest diffraction efficiency is obtained for the sample with 1 wt % of nanoparticles.
