Abstract
Transmission characteristics of a 200-GHz OAM radio link is investigated using a generalized Friis transmission equation. The OAM radio link is composed of high gain Cassegrain helicoidal parabolic reflector antennas using split surfaces for both Tx and Rx. The limitations and antenna requirements of an OAM radio link are discussed in terms of a decomposed near-and-far-field convolution integral (NFCI).
