Abstract
We propose an algorithm for computing digital surface model from several satellite images of same site. The proposed method is applicable not only to stereo pair images, but also to multi-mono images of the same region independently taken by different satellites at different times. We used multiview stereo approach in satellite imagery using semi-global matching to acquire depth maps. In order to minimize the deterioration effect caused by photographing the same area with different satellites at different times, we use the knowldege of structural characteristics in the shooting space that can be assumed in the satellite image. The proposed method was performed to generate DSM based on World View3 satellite images and it is confirmed that the detailed shape of a building can be identified in the DSM.
