Abstract
Various AR devices have been developed for the experience of AR contents. Among them, the method of wearing AR glasses is preferred for experiencing a more immersive AR contents. The AR glasses developed so far have a limitation that the positional relationship between the user and the glasses changes with each wearing. Also, because of different facial dimensions for each user, the observer sees a different image for the same image output. Therefore, to experience realistic AR content, the calibration of AR glasses should be performed whenever the above case occurs. However, if this frequently performed task is annoying, it will reduce the usability of AR glasses. For this reason, it is necessary to develop a convenient calibration method for the general public to use the AR glasses without hesitation. In this paper, we propose a convenient calibration method to meet these demands. Unlike the existing method, the proposed method does not need to use the hand as a means of the interface, and it is not necessary to use the calibration mechanism. The user observe the partial image of the tracking camera synthesized on the AR glasses and perform calibration by moving the head only.
