- Abstract
- This paper suggests a detection method of moving object by analyzing images captured from a single camera equipped above the finish line of running track. To implement a practical system, we focus on designing a fast system by combining simple algorithms including a background modeling and a motion analysis. The experimental result shows the proposed system detects moving runners fast and robustly regardless of dramatic illumination change and cast shadow produced by themselves.
