Abstract
Active Advanced Antenna System (AAS) can adjust the amplitude and phase between antenna elements as desired, with each antenna element equipped with an active module, and has the advantage of radiating various beam patterns. In particular, the antenna lobes can be controlled more closely to reduce channel interference and power. In addition, unlike conventional passive antenna systems, the undesired out-of-band emissions of the AAS shows different antenna behavior compared to the desired in-band emissions. In this paper, the adjacent channel interference effects are analyzed by comparing the interference received signal strength and throughput loss of the base station and user equipment with and without AAS in the 5G system.
