Abstract
Due to the denser deployment of small cells significantly increasing the cost of fiber deployment, Integrated Access and Backhaul (IAB), in which wireless connectivity replaces optical fibers, is considered as an attractive solution to make the small cell deployment cost-effective. In this paper, we provided a view on resource multiplexing enhancements for IAB in 5G New Radio Release 17.
