Abstract
In this paper, we performed the interference analysis for compatibility between the fifth generation (5G) wireless system and aeronautical radio altimeter using an adjacent frequency band. For interference analysis, the scenario considering real operation was established and the analysis method was proposed. And based on the proposed method, simulations were performed to evaluate the interference effects of 5G base station on the aeronautical radio altimeter. From the results, the unwanted emission level of 5G base station was proposed to protect the aeronautical radio altimeter from interference signal of 5G base station.
