Abstract
This study provides an architectural support for fast and efficient memory protection for multithread work- loads in data-intensive computing environments. Boundary information used for preventing illegal pointer manipulation can be effectively managed with a novel architecture that enables fast access to the boundary information for memory-centric, many-core systems. Simulation results show that the proposed architecture reduces the average miss latency of boundary information by 33% compared to the existing hardware scheme.
