QUIC(Quick UDP Internet Connection)과 SRT(Secure Reliable Transport)는 기존 TCP (Transmission Control Protocol)에서 불가피한 연결 및 전송 지연 시간을 줄이기 위해서 설계된 UDP(User Datagram Protocol) 기반 전송 기술이다. 본 논문에서는 저지연 전송을 위한 QUIC과 SRT의 주요 특징과 혼잡제어 방식을 소개한다. 추가적으로, 최신 적응형 비트레이트 스트리밍이 적용된 DASH (Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP) 시스템에서 HTTP/TCP와 HTTP/QUIC를 통한 사용자 경험(QoE, Quality of Experience) 결과를 분석한다. QoE 결과는 QUIC의 주요 특징을 반영하여 처리량과 응답 대기 시간을 최적화할 수 있는 저지연 적응형 비트레이트 스트리밍 기술 대한 연구개발이 필요함을 보여준다.
