Abstract
In this paper, a statistical approach is introduced to investigate the time-to-first-fix (TTFF) performance of global navigation satellite systems (GNSS). Considering a candidate navigation signal of Korean positioning system (KPS), the average time duration for reading the navigation data without error, T_{data}, will be investigated. The navigation information consists of clock correction and ephemeris data (CED) and GNSS time reference (GST). Numerical results are provided to show the value of T_{data} according to signal-to-noise-ration (SNR) E_{b}/N_{0}.
