Abstract
Named Data Networking (NDN) is a new network architecture proposed to realize scalable and secure Internet. NDN can effectively provide the video streaming services by using in-network caching and multicast, which will help reduce the total video traffic volume and bring cost savings for service providers. In this paper, we propose an approach for video streaming system utilizing NDN typescript library designed for the modern web application. Any types of end users, even non-NDN users, can use NDN video streaming services on their web browsers without having any specific configuration. We present the system architecture and service flows. We show that network traffic can be saved through bandwidth measurement.
