Abstract
This paper studies the impact of Low Power Indoor (LPI) devices on fixed microwave link through the simulation-based evaluation. The simulations have been performed using the developed PZAT simulation tool that considers various propagation characteristics and models. Monte Carlo simulations are performed in order to evaluate an aggregate interference of LPI devices on fixed service (FS) links. In order to make simulations more realistic some parameters such as RF activity factor and building entry loss have been derived empirically. Simulation results validate that even considering the most conservative parameters there is no harmful aggregate interference from LPI devices on microwave links at 6GHz band.
