Abstract
This paper proposes a software tool for determining the capacity of shared photovoltaic (PV) generation which achieves energy self-reliance and that of energy storage (ESS) which achieves plus-power. This tool is used for housing complexes in which some houses have own PV generations. It consists of three engines: An engine that synchronizes and sums up production and consumption power data of houses to create power data for the housing complex, an engine that determines the PV capacity to satisfy a given energy self-reliance rate, and an engine that simulates energy storage and analyzes the result for various capacities to determine the appropriate one. The simulation and capacity decision were verified through the tool programmed in Python and a graphic user interface.
