Abstract
Photogrammetry models are being used in various interactive content. The models may include distorted geometric information or a portion with an excessively high mesh density. Therefore, the reproduction and simplification process are made by hand, and the corresponding cost is incurred. In this paper, we propose a procedure for creating a lightweight model that maintains a constant quality at a minimum cost using the latest mesh reproduction technology. We use extreme simplification methods of meshes such as vectorization techniques to minimize file size. As a result, the original model and the vectorized model are loaded into a commercial game engine, and the improvement of rendering speed is confirmed.
