Abstract
Covert communication is widely used for private communication. However, a lot of conventional covert channels are proposed for network-level covert communication. But it is hard to directly apply the wireless communication system. Because the wired covert channel schemes do not reflect the wireless feature. Such as packet loss, noise, and delay. For this reason, when constructing the wireless covert channel, we consider the wireless features. Recently, the wireless covert channel is proposed at the PHY level covert channel. But they have hard implementation issues. Thus, in this paper, we process the feasibility test for the MAC-level covert channel in the wireless environment and analyze the composition of the wireless communication system to construct wireless covert timing channels. Finally, we discuss the necessity of synchronization to construct wireless covert timing channels.
