Abstract
Channel impulse response estimation and parameterization are important for wireless channel modeling. Because optimal parameter estimation is difficult to derive by closed-form equations, various iterative algorithms have been proposed. Iterative algorithms can provide accurate parameter estimation, but their disadvantage is a large amount of computation. The space-alternating generalized expectation-maximization (SAGE) algorithm is one of the most commonly used iterative algorithms for channel parameterization. In this paper, an efficient implementation method for the SAGE algorithm is proposed, and simulation results are also provided.
