- Abstract
- This paper introduces a system architecture based on open source software to build a digital twin for physical assets and provide application services in smart factories. This architecture includes defining IoT devices and operating environments based on material handling processes in a smart factory, and modeling IoT environments as digital twins using the Ditto framework in the Eclipse Foundation.
