Abstract
We propose a network-assisted overlay management scheme for P2P-based content delivery to address the P2P’s inherent sub-optimal performance problem in overlay paths. It introduces P2P controllers that are dedicated to construct overlay paths and adapt them to the changes in a network state and peer membership using the underlying network information. The proposed scheme consists of three main functions: service management, overlay path management, and transport management. We present details of the functions by describing their functional architecture and procedures.
