Abstract
High performance computing (HPC) has been attracting attention as the main criterion of national competitiveness of science and technology. In addition, as the HPC is used to develop vaccines and therapeutics of the COVID-19, the interest in HPC is more increasing. Hence, major countries around the world are focusing on strengthening the capability of high performance computers. In this paper, we analyze the technology trends of HPC in order to contribute to the improvement of HPC technology in Korea. Furthermore, we provide a comprehensive view and development trends of processor, memory, and software technologies.
