Abstract
Lithium-ion batteries have been used in various applications in the electronics industry. It is very important to know accurate remaining useful life of lithium-ion batteries for safety and reliability issues. One way for estimating the remaining useful life is to predict battery capacity degradation trend. In this paper, we discuss a Transformer network and an empirical model as candidate methods for predicting battery capacity degradation trend. Using the datasets publicly available, we compare two methods.
