Abstract
Cell-free massive MIMO(mMIMO) is considered as one of technologies for the next generation wireless communication where higher spectral efficiency (SE) and energy efficiency are required. In this paper, we focus on the Access Point(AP) selection in scalable cell-free mMIMO systems, where each user is served by a selected APs in the network. We propose an AP selection scheme using a linear assignment algorithm. Numerical results show that the proposed scheme offers better downlink SE for users with bad channel conditions compared to exiting AP selection schemes.
