Abstract
Recently, standardization and regulations for mobile communication services using high-altitude platforms have been actively underway. Transmitted signals at high altitudes may have a wider service coverage area, but it means that they cause interference to a wider area. In this paper, we proposed the analysis method to evaluate the effect of interference on Korean LTE for Maritime (LTE-M) by High-altitude platform stations as International Mobile Telecommunications (IMT) Base Station (HIBS) systems in Japan using 700 MHz frequency band. And the separation distance was derived for the protection of LTE-M downlink from HIBS interference signal.
