- Abstract
- Korea had commercialized 5G mobile communications service for the first time in the world in April 2018. In this paper, a comprehensive evaluation was conducted by analyzing the performance and limitations of 5G early commercialization policy. Before making the comprehensive evaluation, the evolution of mobile communications technology to 5G and the development of 5G services were discussed in order to accurately analyze the current status. It is hoped that the evaluation results derived in this paper will serve as important judgment data when domestic and foreign experts decide on policies for early commercialization of telecommunications services.
